The Simon Edmonds Design range of cupboard handles and hooks is distinguished by bold shapes and quality finishes and inlays. Simon Edmonds previously traded as Deligion Design, hand-casting all his handles himself. These handles received much press attention, acclaimed for their "iconic and original" design (see media). The Simon Edmonds Design range maintains the original, artist-designed look that distinguishes Simon's handles from other commercial handles. Now, no longer working solely from a bike shed in the garden, but using industrial processes, Simon is able to combine distinctive design with a more streamlined look, and to offer in addition a range of commercial-quality finishes, including chrome, black chrome, and natural pewter. Particularly notable are Simon's new Kapu and Whatu handles, with their use of paua-and-resin inlay. Simon Edmonds Design also offers a range of household objects including salad servers, knives and pastry slices, which carry the Kapu and Eel designs across from the handle range. Finished in polished chrome and non-toxic pewter, these kitchen items also feature the Simon Edmonds Design trademark paua-and-resin inlay.
